Imperial Point Homes
Fort Lauderdale, 33308
Located between McNab Rd to the North, US-1 (Federal Highway) to the East, Commercial Blvd to the South, and NE 18th Av to the West, this East Side location has a real suburban feel.
Imperial Point is one the highly desired neighborhoods just west of US-1 in Fort Lauderdale. The northern location was originally built by developer Haft Gaines for retirees and second homeowners in the 1960’s. However, today Imperial Point is home to a variety of residents looking for a peaceful, suburban type feel centrally located in the Northern part of the city.
One of the few neighborhoods in Fort Lauderdale to have sidewalks this area is attractive to first time home buyers, seasonal owners, adult couples without kids, and lots of families as well. Amenities that are attractive to all these groups are larger lots, affordable prices, and the central location with US-1, restaurants, shopping, schools, the hospital, I-95, and the beach all under 10 minutes away. Houses range from smaller two bedroom models all the way up to large four bedroom, three bathroom homes. Most of the lots are 7,500 sq. ft., many of them have pools, and a one or two car garage or at least a carport. Some of the homes have been completely redone while others still remain in their original state awaiting someone to restore or redo to their personal taste.
Imperial Point has always been considered a western extension of the Bayview Drive area that offers a lot of value to its owners. The affordability, location, and unique suburban feel make it the only destination for some while others are willing to look at surrounding neighborhoods to the North and South in search of the best value for their money. Regardless those who do choose Imperial Point to be their home find the neighborhood to be a highly desirable and very pleasant place to live.
