Harbor Beach Homes
Fort Lauderdale, 33316 and 33301
Located in the very Southeastern part of the city this upscale neighborhood is located between the Intracostal Waterway in the North, the ocean in the East, Port Everglades Inlet in the South, and the Intracoastal Waterway in the West.
Harbor Beach has an upscale “Old Fort Lauderdale” feel, and is often revered by many to be the most elite neighborhood in the city. The neighborhood is bisected by State Road A1A with the east side offering Fort Lauderdale beach style living in the form of dry lots, fixed bridge waterfront lots, a few co-ops, some high rise ocean condos, and the private Lago Mar beach club and hotel. However when people think of Harbor Beach they are usually thinking of the west side where some of the largest mansions and boats reside. The area west of A1A contains almost exclusively large deepwater lot properties with no fixed bridges, with just a few dry lots mixed in.
Along with the neighborhoods of Rio Vista and Las Olas, Harbor Beach offers boaters the fastest access to the ocean being just north of the inlet, and some of the widest canals in the city. Between these three locations buyers will find some of the highest prices in the city with Harbor Beach often leading the way. The location is ideal for those who love the beach as it’s the only southern neighborhood in the city east of the Intracoastal Waterway, and it has its own beach club for residents to use.
The location is revered by long time locals, people new to the area, and second homeowners alike to do its well maintained upscale feel, location to the beach, and the prestige that owning in this area offers. Many buyers will also look in other areas like Rio Vista, and Las Olas as well, with the goal of finding the best property for them, however for many the search begins and ends with Harbor Beach, and the belief that this is the number one neighborhood in the city.
