Coral Ridge Homes
Fort Lauderdale, 33304,33305,
Located between Oakland Park Boulevard on the north, to the Intracoastal Waterway, Sunrise Boulevard on the south, and the Middle River/Federal Highway on the west. This neighborhood is nestled between the Coral Ridge Country Club and Sunrise Intercoastal neighborhoods.
Coral Ridge Galt is the specific name given to the neighborhood; however most refer to it as Old Coral Ridge, or just Coral Ridge. The term Old Coral Ridge refers to the fact that this neighborhood was first developed in the 50’s while the Coral Ridge Country Club neighborhood to the north was founded in the 60’s, and the Landings to the north of it started in the 70’s. All three neighborhoods are bisected by Bayview Dr, which stretches from Sunrise Blvd on the south side to NE 62nd st on the north side.
Located within this neighborhood is the Coral Ridge Yacht Club, Bayview Park, and Bayview Elementary School. Bayview Elementary School is widely considered one of, if not the best public elementary school in the city. The guaranteed access that being a resident provides adds a lot of value to the homes in this neighborhood. Many families only consider moving to Old Coral Ridge or refuse to leave it for this very reason. Bayview Park offers basketball courts, tennis courts, a baseball field, a children’s playground, and a boat ramp that is open to anyone.
Whereas the Coral Ridge Yacht Club is a place where dining, ballroom dancing, swimming, sailing and tennis combine to make a place for fellowship and fun. Other factors that make the neighborhood appealing are the waterways.
On the west side of the neighborhood is the quiet and peaceful Middle River, and on the east side there are finger canals that lead to the Intercoastal Waterway, with no fixed bridges to the ocean. The canals in this neighborhood are slightly wider than the ones in the Coral Ridge Country Club, and most lots offer 100 feet of water frontage.
